We had a nice, but chilly, Thanksgiving feast today with all the other classes.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Last Friday, we had Alabama Parrot Rescue share some lovely birds with us!

Students were able to pet them.

Can you believe December is just around the corner?  Here is our next snack calendar.

We have had a great week of reptile and amphibian lessons!

We also discussed more about being Thankful.  Here is what our students said:

I am thankful for...
my family
getting new toys and my little brother
my star blanket I used when I was a baby and my family
my boat to go fishing and my big house
getting to do jobs
apples with my turkey and Charlotte(his sister) and cheese
eating at home, saying a nice blessing and writing my name
apples and toys
my Peter Pan costume and Captain Hook
my mommy and daddy and my sisters
Joy, Lilly, my cousins, my grandma and my vegetable garden
my mommy, my daddy, my grandma and my brother
my new Anna doll
flowers
my brothers
hot dogs and my grandpa
my mommy
my brother, Alex
my hat, scarf and gloves so I can stay warm
soccer
my school and family
my family
bike riding
and ....
I'm thankful I'm happy!!!!  ( I really found that one to say it all!)

We want to say we are so thankful to have all our wonderful kids in our class!  Ms. Shelley and Ms. Kirsten

Please remember we will close at 1:00 on Tuesday the 25th for Thanksgiving break.  There will be no aftercare that day.

For such a short week, we really have done a lot!  We began our study of reptiles by learning about alligators.  These boys are creating a 3D model of an alligator.

The Kindergarten class got a lesson on Slovakia from one of our parents.

We discussed the meaning of "Thankfulness" and made Thanksgiving place mats.

Our European animal lesson is always a favorite!

Ms. Shelley gave a lesson on Russia and shared her "Matryoshka" dolls with the class.

We have been getting creative with "play time" since the weather has been too cold to let us play outside!
