We get out at 1:00 on the 27th for spring break. There will be no aftercare.

We learned more about the human body this week.  The kids thought it was very funny to imagine, as they put it, "flopping about like spaghetti" if they didn't have a skeleton for support.  Another popular human body lesson was the one on hearing and the parts of the ear.  After learning about the outer, middle and inner parts of the ear, students had fun using their own sense of hearing to play the game, "What's Making That Noise?"  Several every day objects were placed out of sight and students had to guess what they were based on the noises they heard.  Some guesses were right on target and others could only come from a child's imagination.  They were hilarious!

The Preschool hosted the Peace Ceremony on Friday and did a great job.  Two students from our class, Suhanna and Tyler, had speaking parts.  The rest of our class sang the song, L-O-V-E.  It takes a lot of courage for students (and teachers) to stand in front of the entire school and speak.  We were very proud of every one.  After the ceremony, we went back to our room for our Valentine's Day party.  The kids loved giving and receiving cards and celebrating together.

Please remember there is no school Monday.  We hope you all have a great weekend!
